Today I explored Webquests. I believe I have one to open the year based on student date of birth. I have one to use to introduce realistic fiction and I'll base that on Sparrow Hawk Red. Then small crews can self pick a book to read. I have an excellent way to intro math using two kids books that should be very engaging. It is hard to be thinking about a year on my lonesome but once I have the skeleton done I'll be able to work with others.
This week is a help....

  1. Are you saying you usually plan in a group? If so your ideas from this week will be an inspiration to your team I'm sure :-)

  2. In finally understanding what a webquest is, I really can appreciate how interesting class work can be. Guided expoloration can be so productive yet so free spirited. I wish my program could include this. But time developing the skill of playing an instrument is so precious.

I also understand that taking small steps is important in entering a new teaching arena. Good luck.
